In December 2003, the national petroleum company of Venezuela, PDVSA, contracted Proutist Universal, a global educational and community service organization, to give 3-day training to 2 groups of supervisors and workers in the telecommunications, planning and cooperatives departments. Dr. Michael Towsey, a university researcher, came from Australia, and Dada Maheshvarananda, a monk from North America and author of the book After Capitalism: Prout’s Vision for a New World, came from Denmark.
